November Meeting

This month our meeting is changing dates to the Second Tuesday (13 November) due to Thanksgiving. Alyssa Barton will be presenting on setting in sleeves and finishing techniques. Come prepared to ask questions!

Also, if you wish to participate in the scarf swap remember to bring 2-300 yards of a scarf yarn in a brown paper bag. The finished scarves will need to be returned at the January meeting.

October Meeting

Our meeting this month will be on 23 October at 7:30 at the Bob Duncan Center. As always, the room will be available beforehand for showing off your work and catching up. The topic this month will be a recap of things seen and learned at Stitches Midwest from two of our very own members.

September Meeting

We are kicking off our year with the September meeting on 25 September 2007 at the Bob Duncan Center. The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM but the room will be open before that to catch up with each other and see all the wonderful things we have knit over the summer. Our speaker will be Paula Burns on the Art of Embellishment.

Guild Retreat

Mark your calendars for 1-3 February 2008 for our annual trek to Pecan Plantation. There will be a sign-up at the September meeting. Know who your roommate(s) are going to be.

July Knit-In

The July Knit-In will occur at the home of Sharon Haggard. This will take place at the normal meeting time (24 June, 7:00-9:00 PM). Please RSVP if you will be attending so she knows how many to expect.

A Knit-In differs from a standard meeting due to there being no scheduled program and no business. We simply gather together to knit and get to know one another.

Workshop Payments Due

Joy would like to remind everyone that if you made a partial payment for the October Workshop with Candace Eisner-Scrict that the remainder is DUE to her by 1 August 2007. If you end up needing to cancel your money will be refunded as we have a long waiting list.

The topics have yet to be determined.
